My senior year my mom decided that we needed new 72 hour kits. So for Family Home Evening on a glorious monday night, we made the trek to walmart to shop for these bad boys. It was a blast. We bought gushers and granola bars and crackers and tons of other non perishable items of course!! Then we went home, bagged all the items in their category, added a first aid kit and put them in our own individual duffle bags. (We really live on the edge over here at the Tatom household.)
So a few months pass and one day after school I am looking for a snack. I was in the pantry and saw all these duffle bags sitting on the top shelf. Then one thought crossed my mind: GUSHERS. Those tooty fruity treats that just melt in your mouth deliciously were in that bag! Just one step away!! I was in heaven. Because naturally if you know me, you know I love food. This is how much. (And yes I realize this is a terribly embarassing picture but it is on Facebook already so what the hey!)
SO you get the picture? Don't mess with me & my food. Haha.
ANYWAY... Back to the story.
I saw the gushers, I took them, I ate them and I LOVED every second of it. Then I proceeded to eat gushers and pop tarts everyday til they were gone. Then I went to college and my mom kept my wonderful kit. I just went into the basement to find a suitcase and I found my kit!! I was so delighted that I opened it. Then I realized, the only things left are mandarin oranges, 2 capri suns, and a few dried nutty granola bars. Needless to say, if there is ever a catastrophe, don't expect me to survive.
