Sister Date: Brad Paisley Style

Last night Meghan and I went on a sister date!! We got all dressed up and ready and went to Sushi Monster for dinner.  It was delicious!! Then we made our way over to the Maverik Center to see Brad Paisley!!! It was amazing.  Scotty McCreery was the first opening act.  He was soooo good and he's super cute too.  Meghan kept saying, "I wanna marry Scotty!" Hahaha.  Then after that The Band Perry came out and they were so good too!!  Finally it was time for the main show....BRAD PAISLEY.  He is such a good performer.  It was so fun! Also, we had some good entertainment from the drunk people around us. Hahaha.  Classic.  It was such a fun night with my little Meggy and I am so glad we went!!!

Ice: 1 Allison: 0

Yesterday morning I had to go to a doctor's appointment.  My mom wasn't too busy so she said she would go with me. (Thank heavens, I hate going to new doctors alone.)  So my mom and I get there and I opened the car door.  I had one hand on the door handle and I stepped out onto the pavement, while the other leg was still in the car. BAM!!! Down I went.  It was like out of a movie or something.  It was so painful.  Especially since my legs basically split in half like I was giving birth.  I was wet on one leg from the stupid ice and my groin was really hurting. Haha.  So into the doctor we went and I was extra careful the rest of the day.

Then when I woke up this morning, my butt and elbow were killing me! It was horrible. Haha.  I guess that's what I get living in Salt Lake.  Well played, ice, well played.

A Day in the Life....

As I previously mentioned, I am nannying two little boys right now.  Jackson is so spunky it is just cracking me up.  Here are some things he has been saying to me lately.....

The very first day I started, I picked them up and we were at a stoplight, he leans forward and says, "I must ask you a question.  Do you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, or Kwaanza?" I replied with Christmas and he said, "Just making sure."

One day I was making dinner and I took off my sweatshirt cause I was hot.  So I just had a t shirt on.   He walks up to me and says, "I wanted to ask you this like all day. Are you having a baby?" I didnt know whether to laugh or cry....

Riding in the car he says to me.... "Why dont you have a job?" I told him he was my job and I was so lucky wasn't I! Then he says, "Well you need to get a REAL job like a builder or McDonald's worker." Thanks Jack, I'll work on it!!

(On the way to the doctor's office.....) "Um Al....people are passing us.  You should probably just maybe drive faster."

These last two are from today.....
I asked him if he was normally allowed to play outside with his friend Maddie and other kids.  He told me, "I am practically a seven year old adult. It's like we run the neighborhood."

Then while eating dinner, I told him three more bites cause he didn't like the fabulous meal I made him.  He said, "Okay okay, just PLEASE give me a moment to digest."

Haha I swear this seven year old kid is the most entertainment I have had in awhile!! It's a pretty fun job to have! Out of the mouths of babes.

On another note, today we were at McDonald's and there were two women sitting in the booth next to mine.  All the kids were playing and they were clearly talking about me saying I looked WAY too young to be the step mom and all this "other woman" shenanigans!! I was seriously annoyed that they were talking about me! Liam came over to get a drink and they turned and asked if he was my son.  I said no, then before I could say anything else they asked if I was his stepmom.  I said no I was his nanny.  And then they were both like "Oh thank goodness! We knew you were too young.  We were hoping you weren't taking on the mother role already!"  When I told their mom Sarah this story, she said I shouldve replied with, "Yeah I had an affair with their dad and got pregnant so now we are married." Hahaha next time, next time.

Number 1 Fan

If you didn't already know this, I was born and lived in Sacramento, CA til I was 8 years old.  My family is a HUGE basketball family as well.  So growing up we always had season passes to the Kings games.  It was so fun to be able to go to the game with my dad and just spend time with him.  The boys would always complain when it was Katy or I's turn to go to the game.  They would say we were just in it for the fun food.  (They were probably right.)  Anyway.  I remember this one particular time at a game, these guys in front of us had beer.  But to me it looked like apple juice.  At the age of 6 I didn't know what beer even was.  So I told my dad I wanted some of that! And he explained to me that it was not indeed apple juice but another alcoholic drink and we do not drink that.  Good enough for me, I got a sprite instead.
Back in the day, the Kings and the Lakers were huge rivals.  They would always go back and forth with their winning and we have always hated the Lakers because of that.  I really loved watching the games on TV after we moved to Vegas.  It was a huge deal at our house.  Since then, the Kings have kind of gone downhill and they have had rough times but the Tatoms have ALWAYS and will ALWAYS stand by our Kings!! There is simply no other way to put it.  But now, I am a little annoyed.  I understand that everyone and their mom is Jimmer's Number 1 Fan and all, but I really can't wait until he is traded again and he is off our team because the only reason they like the Kings is because of Jimmer!!!! So annoying to me and my sibs! Sure, it's kinda dramatic but whatever.
This weekend is the Kings vs. Jazz game in SLC.  Unfortunately, we have company in town and will not be attending the game, but part of me is glad because I don't know if I could handle sitting around all these BYU Jimmer fans talking about him the whole time.  I mean I don't have anything against the guy, but I just don't appreciate all the bandwagoners cause of him.  Plus, he is not even doing that well!! Okay my rant is over.  If you are one of those fans and I have offended you, I apologize.  But I just had to get that out!!

School. Work. School. Work.

I feel like all I do lately is go to school and go to work.  Surprisingly though, I am truly loving it.  I LOVE my job.  I am nannying 2 little boys.  Jackson is 7 and Liam is 2.  Most of the time, Jackson is a handful and super hard to deal with.  But he is starting to like me more and more everyday.  Liam is just a chunky little kid who is ALWAYS happy.  Literally the only time he cries is when he wants more food.  Haha.  He constantly eats.  It's hilarious.  So I am loving spending time with these kids everyday.  Plus, their mom Sarah is so cool.  So fun to talk to and chat with after she gets home.
I am at school right now and the devotional is going on.  But I am blogging and on Pinterest.  I suppose thats bad but I am justifying it in the fact that I had to do homework before writing this. Haha.  Meghan and I are going to see Brad Paisley on Friday!! This post is super lame.  But all I do is work and school and work and school and work and school.  I guess that is part of advancing into Allison!!

What's Up Blogging World!

Welp....I am blogging again.  In the past year I have graduated high school, moved to Quincy California to play college volleyball, decided there was more to life than volleyball and moved to Salt Lake City, UT where I now just go to school and work and have a really cool and awesome life.  Just kidding.  But I really am happy where I am at and loving every second of this chaos.  I am just trying to figure out slowly who I am and what I want to be and all that fun stuff.  But I am enjoying the ride, thats for sure.  So welcome to my new blog.  I am so excited!!
P.S. I am now a believer of online shopping, Mr. Clean's magic eraser and Pinterest. Wahoo!
